WHAT IS A CUSTOM UPGRADE?

A CUSTOM UPGRADED FIREARM IS SIMPLY A FINE FIREARM THAT HAS ADDED CUSTOM FEATURES , YET THE ARTISANS & SPECIALIZED GUNSMITHS INVOLVED RESPECT THE DESIGN  PATTERN OF THE ORIGINAL FACTORY ENGRAVERS AND STOCKMAKERS

UPGRADING  GOALS & PITFALLS

The shotgun is the canvass on which the selected artisans perform their art. It should be a celebration of their talent.  One artisan performing substandard work will diminish the

appreciation and value of other contributing artisans who have performed their specialized tasks at a very high level.

The object of any project should be to create value. This is      best accomplished with a gunsmith, stockmaker, or engraver assigned with the duties of  project manager.

If the gun owner decides to asume the responsibilities of project manager the goal of creating a highly valued custom shotgun can be a daunting task if he is not well versed in the shotgun business. Without this basic specialized knowledge one must rely on references and luck:: a poor substitute for business relationships based on past experience and trust. :
